Citizens will be able to lodge complaints about sanitation, cleanliness, road repair, water logging, felling of trees and other issues at the centres. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday announced it would set up computerised citizen facility centres in each of the capital's 272 wards to receive complaints about civic issues.
Each centre will be equipped with a computer that will be connected to main server at the MCD office. According to the MCD, citizens will be able to lodge complaints about sanitation, cleanliness, road repair, water logging, felling of trees and other issues at the centres and prompt solutions would be delivered.
The complaint received at these centres will be sent to the officials concerned to be redressed. The process often takes a long time before the complaint is even looked at by the officials concerned.
He noted that these centres will be closer to the residences of citizens, helping them to lodge their complaints relating to MCD more easily.
