Himachal to connect agriculture departments

Project: The Government of Himachal Pradesh has signed an agreement with information technology (IT) major Samtech InfoNet for executing two projects in the state. While one project is related to linking of agriculture-related departments, the other is for monitoring court cases.

Under the 'Agrisnet' project, a video-conferencing facility would be provided to the farmers to interact with experts in the field of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries. Regarding the court case monitoring software, the system would provide online information about current status of cases and to help the departments to take remedial action to reduce delays and to avoid further litigations.
